La Boissiere is centrally located for literally dozens of activities. In a two week stay you could visit a different attraction every day and travel no further than twenty miles.

This twenty mile radius would include:-

• The Dordogne river...One mile
• Canoeing, tennis, bike hire, river beaches...Two miles
• Excellent 18 hole golf course...4 miles
• Many miles of excellent well marked walking tracks, to suit all abilities, from beginners to the intrepid explorer.  A 90 minute marked walk from La Boissiere is a good introduction to the local area.
• Restaurants....A dozen within six miles, the nearest is one mile

• All the local markets including: St. Cyprien on Sundays (four miles) and Sarlat on Wednesday and Saturday (15 miles).  The nearest supermarket is 2 miles away.

• The Chateaux of Beynac, Castelnaud, Fayrac, Milandes and Marquessac all within 12 miles 
• The medieval bastide towns of Limeuil, Belves, Monpazier, Lalinde, Domme all within 15 miles.
• The Abbey at Cadouin...10 Miles
• The Vezere river with its numerous prehistoric caves and sites (and more canoeing)

• The World Famous Lascaux II. (Maybe just over 20 miles)
• A recreational lake with chutes, pedaloes, fishing and a picnic area...Six miles
